Five Towns - The Five Towns Shul Softball League for men is expanding from 8 teams to 12 teams. The games are played on Sunday mornings during the months of July and August. Any shul that would like to join should please contact Eli Dworetsky, Commissioner, at tiredcpa@aol.com as soon as possible.
Cedarhurst - Kehillas Bais Yehudah Tzvi (The Red Shul) will host scholar in residence Rav Hershel Schachter Shlita on Shabbos Parshat Naso, June 5-6. A friday night Oneg at 9:30 will be followed by his shiur at 10:00 p.m. on “Halachic questions you were always wondering about.” Shabbos morning davening will be at 9:00, with a drasha given by Rav Schachter at 10:30 a.m. He will also give a shabbos afternoon shiur at 6:55 p.m. entitled  "Halachic Issues of a Non Jew working and or Living in the Home of a Jew.” Mincha at 7:55 followed by Shalosh Seudos where he will deliver a shiur entitled "The need for Mesorah.” All shiurim will be held at the shul, 395 Oakland Ave. (The house next to the building under construction on the corner of West Broadway) in Cedarhurst.
Oceanside - The Women's Circle from the Chabad of Oceanside is looking for vendors to rent space at a flea market on Sunday, June 7. Space is $40 per table with two chairs. For more information, please e-mail jbhakim@verizon.net.
Long Beach - The Hebrew Academy of Long Beach is hosting its annual art exhibit on Sunday June 7, on the boardwalk in Long Beach. The display is a collection of art created with watercolors, pen and ink, and mixed media, by HALB's art enrichment program.
Lawrence - Congregation Beth Sholom will hold their 7th annual concert in memory of Cantor Moshe Ehrlich Z”l on Tuesday, June 9 at 7:45 p.m.  The event will feature Cantors Yitzchok Meir Helfgot and Chaim Adler. Beth Sholom’s own Cantor Joel Kaplan and Chazan Sheini Ariel Bekhore will also appear. Cantor Daniel Gildar will accompany the cantors. The Jesse Aaronson Beth Sholom choir conducted by Cantor Eric Freeman, and accompanied by Mimi (Kaplan) Levison will perform a Yerushalayim medley. Wheatley Heights - The Friedberg JCC will hold a “Walk to Help the Sun Rise for Children with Cancer," on Sunday June 7. Proceeds from the event will go to Sunrise Day Camp, the only dedicated day camp in the nation for children with cancer and their siblings. The walkathon will be held at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds on Colonial Springs Road in Wheatley Heights. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. There will be 3 different courses to choose from so you can pick your ability level and join in the fun. East Hills - The Sid Jacobson JCC is holding its 3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk and Children’s Fun Run on Sunday, June 7 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon, rain or shine. Freeport - Congregation Tifereth Zvi is pleased to announce its first Annual Father Son/Daughter Fishing Trip on Sunday June 21.
