Volunteer Holocaust Educators Needed

The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County is looking to expand its Speakers Bureau and needs volunteers to accompany survivors to speaking engagements, to introduce speakers and provide information about the Center to audiences.

The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to become Holocaust Educators, teaching student and adult groups about the Holocaust and the need for tolerance. Although the Center is presently closed, the Speakers Bureau sends survivors, liberators, those who offered aid, as well as the second generation of these groups, to share their testimonies at many community facilities.

The Center is located at 100 Crescent Beach Road, Glen Cove 11542. For more information and to become a volunteer, please call Carol Ragione at (516) 571-8040, ext. 100.
