Mount Sinai Health System has opened the opening of Peakpoint Central Nassau Surgery Center, a 20,400-square-foot ambulatory surgical center, in Carle Place.

The state-of-the-art facility offers advanced care in gastroenterology, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic and spine surgery, otolaryngology, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, and urology, transforming access to outpatient surgical care across Long Island.

Peakpoint is a joint venture between Mount Sinai, leading surgeons, and Merritt Healthcare, an industry leader in ambulatory surgery centers.

Equipped with two operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 17 recovery bays, including three private and three 23-hour stay rooms, the surgery center is equipped with the latest surgical technology and can manage both routine and complex procedures.

“With Mount Sinai care hubs now located in Wantagh and Greenlawn, this centrally located ambulatory surgery center helps connect existing facilities while expanding access for patients across Long Island,” said Michael Gorin, MD, Mount Sinai urologist and Peakpoint medical director.

“Peakpoint Central Nassau is an important part of Mount Sinai’s ongoing commitment to bring high quality clinical services close to where patients live,” said Ken Long, senior vice president of network operations for the Mount Sinai Health System. “Mount Sinai is bringing Manhattan-level clinical services to the communities of Long Island.”
