The statement, from HALB President Lance Hirt and Chairman Jerry Williams, said:

"We are very excited to report that our community has voted with overwhelming support for HALB's purchase of the Number Six School. Based upon preliminary numbers, the YES votes number 1856 and the NO votes number 461.

"By any measure, the public has spoken with a very clear and convincing voice. We are truly grateful to be in this position and we are enthusiastic about the new chapter that our school is now able to embark upon. This is an amazing opportunity and we look forward to working with all of you in creating a new home for our elementary school.

"We would like to thank all of those who have worked so hard to insure this positive outcome. In addition, we are humbled by the outpouring of support by other Yeshivot in our community who demonstrated a sense of Achdut which we will remember forever.

"Thank you for all of your support and Mazal Tov!"
