Talmud to go

Posted

A Talmud study group of about a dozen men on the Far Rockaway line of the Long Island Railroad has made its third siyum since its beginning almost 23 years ago. The group uses the daf yomi — literally a page-a-day — method of learning initiated by Rabbi Meir Shapiro in the 1920s. From left, Chaim Resiss, Elliot Krischer, Eliezer Cohen and lecturer Sholom Fried.
