On the final night of Chanukah, Long Islanders were injected with a bonus dose of spiritual uplift, as Chabad of Mineola staged its 23rd annual telethon.
The event, broadcast live on cable television and livestreamed around the world, “was successful in so many ways,” said its organizer, Rabbi Anchelle Perl.
“The most important is that a positive message was sent to all, and that it brought kavod to the Jewish people. It’s terrific to reach out to so many people with a message from Chabad.”
