I prefer an apikoros

Many years ago, the Maskilim in Berlin sent an emissary to Vilna to receive advice from Moishele Apikorus (Moishele the non-believer). Upon arrival, Moishele determined that the Maskil hadn`t learned Shas, nor Rambam, nor Chumash and Rashi.

Turning to the Maskil, he explained that indeed, he is not an apikoros, but rather an ignoramus.

Rabbi Noam Himelstein studied in Yeshivat Har Etzion and served in the Tanks Corps of the IDF.
