In a display of profound gratitude, the internationally renowned Torah outreach organization, Hineni, will, IY’H, honor its founder and president, Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis, at its 50th anniversary gala on March 15 at Guastavino’s in Midtown Manhattan.

As a survivor of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Nazi Europe, the Rebbetzin’s life mission has been to disseminate the timeless and eternal wisdom of the Torah to a lost generation searching for spiritual sustenance.

Rebbetzin Jungreis, who lived for many years in the Five Towns, significantly impacted the lives of both secular and observant Jews through the thousands of shidduchim she has made and the Torah families she helped created. She authored four bestselling books — “The Jewish Soul on Fire,” “The Committed Life,” “The Committed Marriage” and “Life Is A Test” — and was a columnist at The Jewish Press since the publication’s inception.

President George W. Bush appointed the Rebbetzin to serve on the honorary delegation that accompanied him to Jerusalem for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel in May 2008.
