Great Neck $200K sends ambulances to MDA in Israel

Posted

The Men’s Club and the Sisterhood of the Great Neck Synagogue raised over $200,000 to sponsor a Medical Intensive Care Unit Ambulance and Intensive Care Medi-Cycle Motorcycle for Magen David Adom. Many other synagogues and Jewish organizations also participated in fundraisers for American Friends of Magen David Adom, with funds doubled by former Mayor Michael Bloomberg. In peaceful times, AFMDA builds the ambulances in America and ships them to Israel via cargo ship, which takes many months to reach Israel. The ongoing war has accelerated the need and demand for ambulances, which are being sent via cargo plane.
