Gourmet event supports CAHAL

Over 100 women attended a Shavuous cooking class led by Naomi Nachman, The Aussie Gourmet, to benefit CAHAL, the community-wide special education program.

Nachman demonstrated several delicious dairy recipes including a pesto sauce, chocolate martini, salads and crepes. 

The event, at the home of Joy Losev on May 6, was chaired by Joy along with Breezy Beckerman of Breezy’s on Central Avenue, Teri Lubin, Aliza Lieberman and Michal Weinstein. Along with Shira Cohen of CAHAL, they collected an extraordinary list of raffles that were sold at the event.

Noach Haller, CAHAL director of development, was impressed by the strong turnout. Nachman said she did not imagine “that I had to prepare for such a large turnout.”
