Freeport FREE MERCY MEDICAL CENTER PRESENTATION ON BREAST CANCER AT FREEPORT LIBRARY
Mercy Medical Center invites the community to a free lecture entitled What Would You Like To Know About Breast Cancer? to be presented at the Freeport Memorial Library at 3 p.m.
The hour-long presentation will be given by Dr. Dana Monaco a board certified surgeon specializing in breast cancer procedures, with nearly three decades of experience.
Dr. Monaco received her medical degree from SUNY/Health Science Center at Brook School of Medicine, where she also did her post-graduate training. She subsequently served as a visiting surgeon in the breast service at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and has been on the medical staff at Mercy since 1993.
Her presentation will include the latest information on breast cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment, including minimally invasive and reconstructive surgical techniques.
There is no charge for attending the presentation, and although advance registration is recommended it is not required to attend.
