‘Bent, Not Broken’ tells of 5T-Far Rock Sandy chesed

A book by Far Rockaway resident Jesse Vogel describes in a pirsumei nisa fashion the chesed that permeated the Five Towns and Far Rockaway community before, during and after Hurricane Sandy.

In “Bent, Not Broken,” printed by Targum Press and distributed by KTAV, the author takes readers through his family’s trials and tribulations, “the true story of one family’s ability to overcome a catastrophic event.”

The book can be ordered for $19.99 from KTAV.com. Vogel said that all of his proceeds will go to the chesed organizations that were so vital to the community’s healing.
