Readers of The Jewish Star were generous in their feedback, and the newspaper of Long Island’s Orthodox communities returned the favor.
Twelve people who participated in The Jewish Star’s reader survey were randomly selected for prizes that included $500 shopping sprees at Seasons in Lawrence, $100 gift certificates to Hapina in Cedarhurst, a pair of tickets to Fiddler on the Roof, and tickets to the Gazillion Bubble Show.
The survey, which asked 25 questions, drew responses from Jewish Star readers in all of the communities served by newspaper. In addition to assembling basic demographic data about those who read The Jewish Star, it also polled readers on their thoughts about The Jewish Star and its content.
All entries were submitted anonymously, with only email addresses attached to allow for the notification of winners.
“We’re grateful that so many people took the time to share their thoughts with us,” said Editor and Publisher Ed Weintrob. “This information will help inform our work as we continue to make The Jewish Star bigger, better and more responsive to our communities.
