Soros funds the push against Israel

Posted

Last weekend, emails associated with George Soros, billionaire donor to Democratic Party and anti-Israel causes, were leaked. The hack wasn’t of Soros himself but of multiple Soros-controlled organizations, including the Open Society Foundation.

One of the most important revelations in DCLeaks’ dump of 2,576 files is the revelation that Soros’ foundation has been funding anti-Israel NGOs on a grand scale.

A review the “Palestine/Israel International Advocacy Section” in a portfolio labeled “the President’s Office” explains that the foundation selects organizations whose focus is “rooted in human rights and international law,” grouped in three categories:

1. “With regard to Israel’s violations in the OPT [occupied territories]: The fight against impunity/accountability in relation to violations of international human rights and humanitarian law committed in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; Freedom of movement and lifting the closure of the Gaza Strip; The reversal of Israel’s settlement policy; The rights of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons.”

2. “With regards to Israeli violations in Israel: Promote respect for the rights of the Palestinian Arab Minority; Promote freedom of association and expression, with a particular focus on attacks against Israeli CSOs; Promote the rights of refugees in Israel.”

3. “With regards to the Palestinian Authority’s HR [human rights] violations: Promote respect by the PA of its HR obligations in both the West Bank and Gaza.”

Another document describes the goal of their “Palestine/Israel International Advocacy” programs as being divided between “a focus on raising the cost of the occupation and ending it on the one hand, and on human rights advocacy and protection on the other.”

Now let’s consider the organizations that received Soros funding.
