‘Random attacks’? Nothing’s random about 1,414 attacks directed at Jews

If there was any doubt about the animosity toward the Jewish State of Israel on the part of President Obama and his administration, it was erased this month.

An Israeli named Nehemia Gershuni-Aylho has been keeping a running list of every attack in Israel since the first of the year. His list is published on the Internet at [bit.ly/1LHj5zL] and includes what happened (knife attack, stone throwing, rocket, etc.), what town it happened in, how many people were hurt or killed, who attacked (Israeli-Arab, Palestinian, or Jew) the target, and the source of the information.

According to Gershuni-Aylho’s list, through Sunday, Oct. 18, there have been 1,414 Israeli-Arab or Palestinian attacks on Jews since Jan. 1, 1,028 during the first 18 days of October. Sadly there were also 18 attacks by Jews against Israeli-Arabs or Palestinians since the first of the year, 13 during the first part of October.

How did this violence begin? Much of the incitement comes from Ramallah where Palestinian Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has been claiming that the Israeli Jews plan to change the status quo on the Temple Mount.

For example, appearing on official Palestinian TV on Sept. 16, Abbas said, “The Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher are ours. They are all ours, and they [Jews] have no right to defile them with their filthy feet.” Abbas further said: “We salute every drop of blood spilled for the sake of Jerusalem.” This type of incitement has been going on for months.

On his Facebook page, Abbas adviser Sultan Abu Al-Einein glorified the attacks on Jews during the first five days of October. He called the stabbing murders of two civilians in Jerusalem, and the injuring of the wife and 2-year-old child of one of the victims, a “heroic operation.” He posted a picture of the stabber and, “saluting” those “protecting Jerusalem,” he wrote: “Kiss their foreheads, and do not forget their hands.”
