‘Names, Not Numbers’ comes to life at HANC MS

The Middle School of the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County last Tuesday night hosted a presentation of a “Names, Not Numbers” documentary created by its eighth grade girls.

 For months, each student researched the Holocaust and asked poignant questions in preparation for meeting her survivor. After both having the zechut to meet and interview the survivors, the eighth graders spent hours editing their respective interviews into the amazing film which they presented.

HANC salutes both its girls and their resiliant and inspiring survivors: Etta Flam, Lee Lichtman, Jack Nayberg, Celia Ruppert, Karl Schapiro, and Esther Smith. May Am Yisrael know of no more sorrow and never forget.
