Lie-baby Trump lost in Colorado

Posted

Donald Trump and his people have been whining like three-year-olds ever since he was trounced by Ted Cruz in Colorado. But don’t believe the whines; Trump is carefully rousing his base, people who are angry.

Last Sunday evening after the Colorado results were announced, Trump posted on Twitter (his favorite whining vehicle), “How is it possible that the people of the great State of Colorado never got to vote in the Republican Primary? Great anger — totally unfair!” And “The people of Colorado had their vote taken away from them by the phony politicians. Biggest story in politics. This will not be allowed!”

All week, Trump whined on. “The system is rigged, it’s crooked,” he told FoxNews. “The people out there are going crazy, in the Denver area and Colorado itself, and they’re going absolutely crazy because they weren’t given a vote. This was given by politicians. It’s a crooked deal.

Even as he campaigned through New York State leading up to this week’s primary, he kept on crying out, “Our Republican system is absolutely rigged. It’s a phony deal. They wanted to keep people out.”

Here’s the part that Trump is not mentioning. On Super Tuesday (March 1), there were 2,917 precinct caucuses for Colorado Republicans. At those caucuses voters selected delegates to the county assemblies and Congressional district conventions. Candidates to be delegates to the county and district get-togethers candidates can, but don’t have to announce who they are supporting for president. But every single Republican who attended and voted at those 2,917 caucuses knew that they were selecting people who will represent them in choosing the delegates to the national convention at the district and the state level.
