The Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula honored four individuals and a business on Sunday during its annual Legislative Breakfast at the White Shul.
The JCCRP was also on the receiving end of praise.
“When it comes to the JCCRP, we can never really thank them enough,” said Rabbi Eytan Feiner of the White Shul, in remarks opening the event.
JCCRP presented its Community Service Award to Seasons Supermarket.
Louis Gibber, a member of the council’s board, said that Seasons — whose award was accepted by its CEO, Mayer Gold — “creates opportunities for giving and support and is the very definition of a good neighbor, a role model for all businesses.”
The JCCRP presented its Humanitarian Award to Police Office Lynn Blanchette of the 101 Precinct; its Public Service Award to Dr. Camesha Grant; a Lifetime Achievement Award to Queens County Clerk Audrey Pheffer; and its City Legislative Leadership Award to Council Member Eric Ulrich.
