W. Hemp’ers among YU HS honrees

The Marsha Stern Talmudical Academy/Yeshiva University High School for Boys (YUHSB) and the Samuel H. Wang Yeshiva University High School for Girls (YUHSG) will honor Silvia and Abraham Borenstein of West Hempstead as YUHSG Parents of the Year, at the schools’ annual Dinner of Tribute on Feb. 28.

Other honorees at the dinner, which marks the centennial celebration of YU High Schools for Boys, include Alan, David and Alex Goldberg; Nathan Lewin; Jacqueline and Dov Borgen; Rabbi Shlomo Tiechtel; and Rabbi Shimon Schenker.

The Goldberg family has been a pillar of the YU high schools for generations, Alan, of Riverdale and Atlantic Beach, is a member of the Yeshiva University, Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and YU High Schools Board of Trustees.
