Shoah author at HANC High School

HANC High School’s Beit Midrash classes were privileged to hear the testimony of Dr. Moshe Avital, a Holocaust survivor and well-known author. Avital brought to light many facts of the Holocaust era unknown to the students.

Born in Czechoslovakia, and only a teenager at liberation, Avital gave psychological, philosophical and theological analyses egarding the perpetrators of the Shoah.

After the war, Avital served as a member of the Haganah. He has also held various educational positions in the Israeli government, including his current position as the Director of Education and Culture at the Jewish Agency for Israel, American Section. 

The students were mesmerized by his talk and found his strength and conviction beyond their imagination. He keeping a Torah perspective throughout his entire life.
