More than 150 students, prospective members of the Class of 2020, visited the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway High School last Sunday.

The program began with speeches from the HAFTR’s high school principals, Naomi Lippman and Rabbi Gedaliah Oppen, in addition to short presentations by HAFTR students Ezra Lent, Elijah Gurvitch and Emily Kornblum.

Parents sat in on four model lessons which included presentations by the directors of college and Israel guidance, as well as sessions by Science Chair Rita Sinensky and Social Studies Chair Jason Gelman. Students were divided into groups that took on a virtual tour of the school, collecting souvenirs along the way.
