2002 — “We’re not in Kansas anymore” is the title of Barry Freedman’s column from Israel. “Yasser Arafat is a liar …who is constantly being let off the hook. … If Arafat was held to his word and punished for his crimes then maybe Saddam [Hussein] would get the right message and understand that the game is just about over and he better disarm and fast.”

2003 — “Wired! Video teleconference at DR advances Torah study.”.

2004 — “Music company targets schools,” warns The Star’s editorial. “In an effort to attract young people to the music and ideology of neo-Nazi bands, a hate music company… plans to distributed 100,000 ‘sampler CDs’ at schools across the United States.”

2005 — It’s a “hands-on holiday” with children of HALB’s Lev Chana early childhood center all smiles as they hold a shofar.

2006 — Empire Kosher Poultry is upset by the relabeling of its chickens at a local market.

2007 — Young Israel rushes food to Gush Katif families. “Overwhelming need, and a prayer answered” is The Star’s lead story.

2008 — In s front page column, Dr. Rafal Medoff writes, “American Jews should an an ‘Al Chet’ to acknowledge their failure to respond adequately to news of the mass killing of European Jews during the Holocaust, one prominent rabbi suggested.”

2009 — This week’s lead story is headlined, “Incredible shrinking opportunity; NCSY estimates 15 more years to reach Jewish high schoolers.”

2010 — “A new volume of the halachic responsa and letters of HaRav Moshe Feinstein zt”l will see the light of day thanks to his grandchildren.”

2011 — “Divorced? You don’t have to go it alone.” Under that headline, a report discusses FrumDivorce.org.

2012 — “Long delayed push for recognition of Jewish refugees from Arab lands.”

2013 — Troop 613: an Orthodox Boy Scout group in West Hempstead.
