The Emunah Circle of Life Benefit Dinner recognized Shari and David Shapiro of Lawrence for their outstanding devotion to Emunah’s children in Israel. Lisa and David Zaslowsky of Cedarhurst served as the dinner chairs.

The event, at the Sheraton New York Hotel, celebrated Emunah’s accomplishments in Israel, as the organization continues to be a leader in providing outstanding social welfare, educational, cultural and humanitarian services to every segment of Israeli society, spanning the entire circle of life.

David and Shari “are always looking to make a difference to children and families in need, and are actively involved in many causes to benefit the Jewish people both here and in Israel,” said , Fran Hirmes, Emunah chairman of the board and Woodsburgh resident.

Emunah, which maintains 250 social service and educational projects throughout Israel, nurtures abandoned infants, provides thousands of children with safe and secure day care and after school programs, cares for at risk teens, counsels families in crisis, and serves Israel’s senior citizens.
