A first for Green Acres: The mall opens a sukkah

Green Acres Mall is surprising shoppers with a lovingly decorated sukkah, located between Kohls and Sears.

Joseph Tenami from Art of Your Mind —a Green Acres tenant well known for his airbrushed design novelties for partes —built the sukkah and coordinated a sukkah decorating project involving children last Sunday inside the mall (pictured).

Shoppers are invited drop in to the sukkah — said to be the mall’s first — during regular mall hours. (Kosher food is not sold in the mall’s food court.)

Green Acres, on Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream, is open every day.
