First Grade students at HAFTR Lower School celebrated the end of their unit of study on Opinion Writing. Throughout the study, students learned how to express their opinions by supporting their feelings with details. Students had strong feelings about characters, food and school. more

Highlighting the creative work of about 40 students was the primary mission behind the sixth annual “Imagination & Innovation is Everywhere,” a spring arts and science festival at Kulanu last week. “This was a forum to showcase artwork that we’ve incorporated into our daily curriculum,” said Ray Guarneri, technology teacher at Kulanu, a Cedarhurst school for special-needs individuals. more

Over Shabbat Parshat Bechukosai, Shalhevet held its end of year Shabbaton in the Five Towns. Students from Cedarhurst, Lawrence, and Woodmere graciously opened their homes for their friends from other neighborhoods for a fun filled weekend. more
